Concrete Staircase

Concrete Staircase

Commissioned by a client who lives abroad to completely redesign and manage the full refurbishment of this 5 storey house in the heart of Paddington.

Built in the 1960’s, this substantial property needed to be totally renovated. The stand-out feature of the house is a cast concrete staircase with wrought iron railings that links all the floors and floods light from a large skylight above the stairwell.

On entering the house a marble tiled hallway leads into an open plan living area with walnut panelling and soft lighting. Downstairs in the basement kitchen, the dark cabinetry designed by dRAW sits beautifully on an engineered oak floor. Matte black taps and and marble worktops add interest. An integrated seating area provides a more relaxed dining experience from the formal dining room on the first floor.

On the upper floors the 4 marble bathrooms were reconfigured and re-plumbed. Each bathroom was fitted with free standing baths and rain showers. The bedrooms were fitted with bespoke joinery with in built lighting designed by dRAW.

Overall, the finished project showcases our architectural and interior design expertise. We have been able to utilise state of the art technology to create a fabulous home with a wow factor.
