This dramatic transformation of a London mews home elevates the traditional typology through a confident architectural intervention.
The new upper-level extension is defined by crisp black-framed glazing and bold cantilevered glass boxes, projecting out to capture uninterrupted views of the surrounding cityscape.
A full-width living space now occupies the top floor, enveloped in floor-to-ceiling glass on two sides, creating a panoramic experience of light and space. An overhanging roofline and integrated balcony further accentuate the feeling of openness, while motorised blinds offer privacy and solar control when needed.
Internally, a calm, tonal palette and refined textures give the space a softness that balances the strong geometry of the architecture. This contemporary addition brings a bold new identity to the home, without compromising the character and rhythm of the original brickwork.
